Shell yeah! The Oak Island Loggerheads are making waves in summer collegiate baseball! Set to debut in 2025 as part of the Old North State League’s Coastal Division, this team is bringing big energy (and even bigger shells) to Oak Island, NC.
Our name was hatched by the community in a "Name the Team" contest, and what better way to represent our beautiful coastal town than with the mighty Loggerhead turtle? Just like these resilient sea creatures, we’re all about strong team spirit, fierce competition, and a deep love for our home waters.
Our home base? The newly upgraded Bill Smith Park, where we’ll be serving up top-tier summer baseball with a side of fun, sun, and plenty of turtley awesome promotions. We’re more than just a team—we’re a shell-ebration of Oak Island’s passion for sports, nature, and community.
So, grab your sunscreen —Loggerheads baseball is coming in hot! Let’s hit the diamond and make some waves!
